Dr. Jonathan W. Phillips is the Medical Director at Performance Surgery Center, where he brings extensive experience and a deep commitment to excellence in patient care. Dr. Phillips is dedicated to promoting the overall health and well-being of every patient he serves. Dr. Phillips is known for his clinical expertise, and unwavering focus on delivering high-quality, personalized care.

Olabisi Asimolowo, M.D. earned a Medical Degree and completed an Anesthesiology Residency at State University of New York- Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn. Dr. Asimolowo is fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. She is dual boarded in Anesthesiology and Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Asimolowo also acts as the Alternate Medical Director for Performance Surgery.

Dr. Asimolowo uses a multidisciplinary approach to treating patients in order to decrease pain levels as well as improve function for activities of daily living. She offers pain relief through specialized training in interventional pain management and minimally invasive spinal procedures.

Dr. Paul Dreschnack is an internationally established reconstructive surgeon, a medical researcher and a humanitarian with 35 years of experience. He has been the recipient of numerous knighthoods, countless awards from the medical community and is a four time Nobel Peace Prize nominee. His expanded research in innovative therapeutic modalities continue to bring recognized success to his many patients and the world of medicine.

As a multimodality specialist, the success of Dr. Dreschnack’s mission comes from combining the latest clinical findings from his advanced biological research work with his leadership in surgical care. From 1978-1999, Dr. Dreschnack achieved world notoriety with a team of surgeons by operating on an est. 250,000 to 300,000 children (free of charge) with birth defects in India. This surgery impacted so many lives from social exclusion, unemployment and limited marriage possibilities, that often lead to the death of these children.

Dr. Dreschnack focuses on stem cell therapy, cosmetic surgery including breast implants, reductions and lifts, liposuction and tummy tucks. He has been working to upgrade the design of saline implants, making them safer and more reliable. Dr. Dreschnack also works with patients providing skin evaluations and treatments for; Skin Cancer, scars and keloids, cysts, moles and skin tags, spider and varicose veins, birthmark removal, stretch marks, wrinkles and facial fillers. He also is trained in Hand and Microsurgery.

Dr. James F. Cozzarelli is a General Orthopedics, board-certified surgeon. He completed his undergraduate education at Dickinson College, in Pennsylvania, and then earned his M.D. at George Washington University in the Nation’s Capital. He completed an internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the same institution. Dr. Cozzarelli takes great pride in his work and the way he treats patients. He takes his time to listen to patients and never makes them feel rushed or pressured. If surgery is necessary, he does his best to explain fully what he intends to do and why it is necessary to help his patients feel as relaxed as possible. Dr. Cozzarelli particularly enjoys and specializes in shoulder and knee surgery and fracture care.

Grigory Goldberg, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery. He is an expert in all aspects of spine surgery, including degenerative diseases of the cervical and lumbar spine, tumors, fractures, infections, and revision of the back and neck. Dr. Goldberg’s goal is to restore the patient back to a functioning level using the most current treatment options that are available. Even though he is a renowned spine surgeon, Dr. Goldberg considers himself more of a spine specialist. This doesn’t always mean surgery. 

“Not every patient is going to need surgery – especially not right away,” Dr. Goldberg explains. “Before I recommend surgery, it’s usually after all non-surgical options have failed.” To this end, Dr. Goldberg works with other spine specialists in the community, such as pain management doctors, neurologists, physical therapists and chiropractors to maximize the success of non-operative treatment. When surgery is the recommendation, Dr. Goldberg’s mission is to do the least amount of surgery for the maximum outcome. He has extensive experience in the field of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and Motion Preserving Spine Surgery and is trained in the latest surgical techniques to address a wide spectrum of spine diseases.

Dr. Goldberg has authored various book chapters concerning the treatment methods of various spine disorders and has published and presented extensively in the field of spinal surgery and joint replacement. Dr. Goldberg helped develop and pioneered the most advanced procedures in the field of spine surgery and has invented and held patents for a number of medical devices. In addition, Dr. Goldberg was recently named as a Select Surgeon in Bone and Joint Surgery by the Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute. He has also been chosen to receive the Vitals Patients’ Choice Award, as well as a Dexur Top 10 Spine Surgeons in New Jersey and the Dexur Top Spine Surgeon in Monmouth County.

Dr. Pereira is a Interventional Pain Management specialist, as well as an Anesthesiologist, working with patients with the best care possible by offering minimally invasive options for pain relief. For over 2 decades, Dr. Pereira has provided patients with an alternative spine procedure. This advanced technology allows Dr. Pereira to perform cervical, thoracic and lumbar Discectomies and Neural decompression in a manner which allows patients to be home within a few hours, beginning immediate recovery.

Dr. Pereira has been extremely successful in his performance of the DND procedure. He has trained other physicians on this newer technique along with utilizing his many years of experience to serve as a consultant for several Biomedical equipment companies to help ensure the best outcomes for the patients.

Renee is a highly skilled Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience, having spent the last 14 years dedicated to ambulatory surgery. She began as a staff nurse and worked her way into leadership, becoming a Director of Nursing more than a decade ago. Her focus is on creating a surgical environment that’s clean, efficient, and fully centered on quality care and patient safety. Renee has guided teams through successful surveys and built processes that truly support both staff and patients. She chose to work in centers that reflect high standards, which is why she feels so proud to be part of Performance Surgery Center, LLC. Outside of work, you can find Renee with her love of cooking and spending time with her wonderful family and four dogs.
